Division I Round 6: Al Jaish is defeated by Al Karameh

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Al Jaish (5-1) in Damascus on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by top-ranked Al Karameh (6-0) 91-85. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Al Jaish. Undefeated Al Karameh have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Al Jaish at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Aleppo: Al Ittihad (#2) and Al Hurriyeh (#8). Al Hurriyeh was smashed at home by 37 points 59-96 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Al Ittihad (11-1) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain second position having just one point less than leader Al Wahda. Al Hurriyeh at the other side keeps the eighth place with three games lost.
Al Thawra has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in , where they defeated Al Faiha (0-6) 70-60 on Wednesday. Al Thawra (1-5) left bottom position moving up to ninth place. It was Al Faiha's sixth loss in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Hutteen.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 6: Al Jalaa destroyed Hutteen on the opponent's court 71-48. Al Taleiah unfortunately lost to Al Nawaeer in a home game 57-67. Al Wahda managed to beat Al Wathba on the road 82-77.



Hutteen - Al Jalaa 48-71

Very expected game in Lattakia where bottom-ranked Hutteen (0-6) was crushed by fifth ranked Al Jalaa (4-2) 71-48 on Wednesday. Al Jalaa maintains fifth position with 4-2 record. Loser Hutteen still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Al Faiha.

Al Taleiah - Al Nawaeer 57-67

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Al Nawaeer's (3-3) road victory over 9th ranked Al Taleiah (1-11) 67-57 on Wednesday. Al Nawaeer moved-up to sixth place. Al Taleiah lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost.

Al Thawra has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive losses.
