Division I Round 20: No surprise as #1 Al Karameh defeat Al Nawaeer

Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Division I top team - Al Karameh (17-1) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Al Nawaeer (7-11) in Homs 77-58. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Al Nawaeer. Al Karameh have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-1 record. Newly promoted Al Nawaeer keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost.
The game in Damascus was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Al Jalaa (12-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Al Thawra (6-12). Al Jalaa defeated Al Thawra 74-60. Al Jalaa maintains fourth position with 12-6 record, which they share with Al Wahda. Al Thawra at the other side keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Al Hurriyeh and Al Wathba.
11th ranked Al Ouroube (1-17) was outscored at home by second ranked Al Jaish (16-2) with the biggest margin this round 135-79 on Saturday night. Al Jaish have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-2 record behind leader Al Karameh. Al Ouroube lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Al Yarmouk.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Aleppo: Al Ittihad (#3) and Al Yarmouk (#12). Al Yarmouk was smashed at home by 23 points 74-97. Al Ittihad maintains third position with 15-3 record having just two points less than leader Al Karameh. Al Yarmouk lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 17 lost games.

In the last two games of round 20 Al Wathba lost to Al Wahda on the opponent's court 78-89. Al Talee'a managed to outperform Al Hurriyeh in a home game 59-53.



Al Thawra - Al Jalaa 60-74
