Woori Hansae snatched a tough road win over S-Birds and repeated as teh WKBL champions! The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But S-Birds won third quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded S-Birds 42-31 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Hye-Jin Park (178-90) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of her ten free throws !!!) and center Sasha Goodlett (195-90, college: Georgia Tech) who added 12 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side international power forward Joo-Young Kwak (185-84) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Yoon-Ah Choi (169-85) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four S-Birds players scored in double figures. The latter won the first period 22-20, but the winners replied with a 23-22 rally in the second frame and added 28-22 run in the third period. Moreover they had 27-24 run in the last stanza to seal the victory. Currie Monique (183-G/F-83, college: Duke) erupted with 28 points for the winners. Goodlett Sasha (195-C-90, college: Georgia Tech) replied with 18 points and 14 rebounds in a loss.
