Voss number one in Singapore NBL for round 9 (by Hoops Agents)

American Power forward Colin Voss (201-PF-1991, agency: Slash Sports) had a great game in the last round for SG Basketball, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Adroit (#2, 6-1) 78-68. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. SG Bball maintains the 4th position in Singapore NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. SG Bball will need more victories to improve their 6-3 record. In the team's last game Voss had a remarkable 68.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be SG Bball's top player in his first season with the team. Colin Voss averages just after two games 32.5ppg and 15.0rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was Martin Lim of Xin Hua Sports Club. Lim had a very good evening with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Of course Xin Hua cruised to a 82-70 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Tong Whye (#9, 2-6). Xin Hua's 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Lim is one of the most experienced players at Xin Hua and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.1ppg (#7).

Third on the list of top players last round was Malaysian center Yeong-Wooi Khaw (200-C-1990) of Tong Whye (#9). Khaw showcased his all-around game by recording 6 points, 15 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. Despite Khaw's great performance the Tong Whye lost 70-82 to slightly higher-ranked Xin Hua (#8, 3-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Tong Whye can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-6 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Khaw has individually a great season in Singapore. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.6rpg (5th best).
