Hanbin Ng gets MVP of the Week award for Singapore NBL

Experienced International Swingman Hanbin Ng (193-G/F-1989) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Adroit Club and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 36-year old swingman had a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds, while his team outclassed Tong Whye (#8, 1-4) with 27-point margin 73-46. It allowed Adroit to consolidate first place in the Singapore NBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Adroit already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Ng had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. It's his second year at Adroit and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Ng has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 11.7ppg), rebounds (5th best: 7.2rpg) and assists (6th best: 2.2apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Jay-Shay Lin of Chong Ghee. Lin impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds. It was enough for Chong Ghee to edge Tungsan (#10, 0-4) by 6 points 63-57. This victory allowed Chong Ghee to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Lin is a newcomer at Chong Ghee and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.6ppg (#7). His other stats are also decent: 6.3rpg and 3.7apg.

The third best performed player last round was international forward Shi-Yu Ng (197-F-2000) of Tagawa (#3). Ng scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). Despite Ng's great performance the Tagawa lost 65-70 to #2 ranked Hornets. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Tagawa needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Ng has a great season in Singapore. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.7ppg (4th best), rebounds with 10.2rpg (5th best) and assists with 2.2apg (6th best).
