Tay number one in Singapore NBL for round 5

Malaysian Power forward Ding-Loon Tay (185-PF-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Eng Tat Hornets, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, eight rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team SBA (#9, 0-2) with 37-point margin 93-56. Hornets is placed at 2nd position in Singapore NBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Hornets won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Tay had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He has many years of experience at Hornets, through which he has constantly improved. Ding-Loon Tay has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 21.5ppg) and averages impressive 58.3% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Alpha McKevin (193-F/G-2002) of Chong Ghee. McKevin had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Chong Ghee was edged by the higher-ranked Tagawa (#4, 2-1) 74-70. Chong Ghee managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Chong Ghee managed to get this year. McKevin is one of the most experienced players at Chong Ghee and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Jonathan Hai of SG Basketball (#3). Hai scored 26 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Hai's great performance the SG Bball lost 63-93 to slightly lower-ranked Siglap (#5, 1-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing SG Bball needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 1 lost games. Hai has a great season in Singapore. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.3ppg (best scorer).
