The most surprising game was the first loss of SG Bball (2-1) against ninth ranked Siglap on Sunday night. Siglap were rolled over by ninth ranked Siglap (1-1) 93-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of SG Bball. They outrebounded SG Bball 56-29 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international guard Xavier Ng Jun (188-2000) stepped up and scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Zahid Mohamed chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Siglap's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jonathan Hai responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Siglap left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with Tong Whye. SG Bball at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost. They share it with Tagawa.
Leader Hornets blasted bottom-ranked SBA (0-2) in Singapore 93-56 keeping the perfect record after 5 rounds. SBA is still unable to win any game.
