NBL Round 1 (Regular Season): Xin Hua lose to Tagawa

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Xin Hua against Tagawa on Monday night. Tagawa were edged by Tagawa 63-61. Tagawa forced 22 Xin Hua turnovers and outrebounded them 57-36 including a 22-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international forward Shi-Yu Ng (197-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and forward Yung-Juen Teo (191-2003) chipped in 13 points and 14 rebounds. At the losing side Martin Lim responded with 17 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
In the game between Top Four teams Tong Whye defeated SBA 68-56. Min-Han Chong nailed 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Heng-Kiazoel Lee accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds. Haran Rajan came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds for SBA in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tong Whye will play against SG Bball in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. SBA will have a break next round.

The most impressive stats of the last round was 6 points and 14 rebounds by Yeong-Wooi Khaw of Tong Whye.

Haran Rajan came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Wei Long Wong added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for SBA in the defeat.
