Third-ranked Chong Ghee (15-7) was very close to win a game against second ranked Hornets (20-2) in Singapore on Sunday. Hornets managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Chong Ghee. The former international guard Kelvin Lim (191-1996) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Malaysian center Russell Low-Wen (200-1993) contributed with 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Christian Pepito answered with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for Chong Ghee. Hornets keep a position of league leader, which they share with Adroit. Chong Ghee at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with Tagawa.

Xin Hua was crushed at home by 38 points 57-95 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Xin Hua. There were no big surprises in other games of round 23: Tungsan was beaten by Tong Whye on the road 69-58. Tagawa won against Police on its own court 72-54. Siglap unfortunately lost to SBA in a road game 77-89.
