Prasant Selvakumar gets MVP of the Week award for Singapore NBL

Prasant Selvakumar put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Tungsan and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The had the game-high 43 points adding four rebounds for Tungsan in his team's victory, helping them to crush Police (#12, 3-15) with 21-point margin 94-73. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Tungsan maintains the 10th position in Singapore NBL. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Tungsan have already lost 14 games and recorded just four victories. In the team's last game Selvakumar had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Tungsan's top player in his first season with the team. Selvakumar has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 16.2ppg) and averages solid 51.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Singapore guard Kelvin Lim (191-G-1996) of league's best team SBPHK Hornets. Lim impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Hornets cruised to a 68-61 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Tagawa (#3, 12-6). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Hornets consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. He plays for the best team in the league and Hornets managed to win all 18 games keeping a perfect record. Lim is well-known by Hornets fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.7ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 12.5rpg and 3.4apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Tungsan's star - Xun Owen Liow. Liow scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was another key player of Tungsan, helping his team with a 94-73 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Police (#12, 3-15). Liow has a very solid season. In 8 games in Singapore he scored 7.6ppg.
