Goh-Yong's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Royston Goh-Yong had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team SBPHK Hornets and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 19 rebounds, while his team outclassed Tungsan (#11, 3-13) with 37-point margin 95-58. It allowed Hornets to consolidate first place in the Singapore league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Hornets keeps a perfect 15-0 record. Goh-Yong has many years of experience at Hornets, through which he has constantly improved. Royston Goh-Yong averages this season 3.9ppg and 6.0rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Kyle Jeffers (207-C-1985) of Siglap Basketball Club. He is American center in his first season at Siglap. In the last game Jeffers recorded an impressive double-double of 14 points and 23 rebounds. Of course Siglap cruised to a 64-52 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Chong Ghee (#4, 10-6). Siglap's 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-9 record. Jeffers is a newcomer at Siglap and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Jonathan Hai of SG Basketball (#9). Hai got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . He was a key player of SG Bball, leading his team to a 87-57 easy win against the higher-ranked Tong Whye (#6, 8-8). The chances of SG Bball not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 11 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hai could try to bring SG Bball's a little bit higher in the standings. Hai has individually a great season in Singapore. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.4ppg (9th best).
