Lim number one in Singapore NBL for round 12

Martin Lim put on an amazing game in the last round for Xin Hua Sports Club, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The player was the main contributor (24 points, nine rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Nanyang (#10, 3-8) with 20-point margin 69-49. Xin Hua is placed at 4th position in Singapore NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Xin Hua will need more victories to improve their 7-4 record. In the team's last game Lim had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He has many years of experience at Xin Hua, through which he has constantly improved. Martin Lim has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 11.8ppg and leads league in rebounds with 5.5rpg. Lim is in league's top in assists (5th best: 3.9apg) and averages impressive 2.2spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Singapore guard Kelvin Lim (191-G-1996) of league's leader SBPHK Hornets. Lim had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 18 rebounds. Of course Hornets cruised to a 73-63 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Tagawa (#6, 6-5). Of course Hornets still keep the league's top spot. He plays for the best team in the league and Hornets managed to win all 11 games keeping a perfect record. Lim is well-known at Hornets and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.9ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 13.0rpg and 3.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Hornets' star - Malaysian forward Ding-Loon Tay (185-PF-1994). Tay got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He was another key player of SBPHK Hornets, helping his team with a 90-48 easy win against the lower-ranked Nanyang (#10, 3-8). Hornets have amazing season winning all 11 games without a single defeat. Tay turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Tay has a great season in Singapore. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 1.0apg (4th best).
