Tay's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

25-year old guard Gavin Tay (188-G-1999) had an amazing evening in the last round for Siglap Basketball Club and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed Tungsan (#12, 1-8) with 17-point margin 88-71. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Siglap maintains the 10th position in Singapore league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 8 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Tay had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Siglap, through which he has constantly improved. Tay has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (4th best: 4.0apg).

Second best performed player last round was Jonathan Hai of SG Basketball. He is a in his first season at SG Bball. In the last game Hai recorded an impressive 24 points and 6 rebounds. Bad luck as SG Bball lost that game 65-78 to the higher-ranked Adroit (#2, 8-1). SG Bball is still in a red zone at 9th spot in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories SG Bball managed to get this year. Hai is one of the most experienced players at SG Bball and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Siglap's star - guard Xavier Ng Jun (188-G-2000). Ng Jun showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Siglap Basketball Club, helping his team with a 88-71 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Tungsan (#12, 1-8). Siglap can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-8 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Ng Jun he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Ng Jun has individually a great season in Singapore. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.5ppg (8th best).
