Shay Lin Jay gets MVP of the Week award for Singapore NBL

Shay Lin Jay had a very impressive game in the last round for Chong Ghee and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The had a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Tungsan (#12, 1-7) with 24-point margin 81-57. Chong Ghee maintains the 3rd position in Singapore NBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Chong Ghee will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. Lin Jay has many years of experience at Chong Ghee, through which he has constantly improved. Lin Jay has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 17.8ppg), assists (7th best: 3.9apg) and averages solid 2.4spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Sashi Pillay of Tong Whye. Pillay impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 23 rebounds. Of course he led Tong Whye to another comfortable win 79-62 over the lower-ranked Police (#10, 2-7) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Tong Whye to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 6-3 record is not bad at all. Pillay is one of the most experienced players at Tong Whye and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Singapore guard Kelvin Lim (191-G-1996) of top-ranked SBPHK Hornets. Lim scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He was a key player of Hornets, leading his team to a 72-54 easy win against the lower-ranked SG Bball (#8, 3-6). Hornets have amazing season winning all 7 games without a single defeat. Lim turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Lim has a great season in Singapore. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.3ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 13.5rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 2.7apg (5th best).

8. Russell Low-Wen) of Hornets - 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Yu Jie Ow) of Nanyang - 8 points and 9 rebounds
10. Jun Xiong Koh) of Police - 8 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
