Lim number one in Singapore NBL for round 9 (by Hoops Agents)

Singapore Guard Kelvin Lim (191-G-1996) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked SBPHK Hornets, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat Chong Ghee (#3, 7-2) 70-61. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Hornets to consolidate first place in the Singapore NBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Hornets keeps a perfect 7-0 record. In the team's last game Lim had a remarkable 53.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Hornets, through which he has constantly improved. Kelvin Lim has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.0ppg and leads league in rebounds with 14.4rpg. Lim is in league's top in assists (6th best: 3.0apg) and averages impressive 67.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international guard Larry-Hua Liew (191-G-1993) of league's second-best Adroit Club. Liew had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Adroit cruised to a 78-67 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Xin Hua (#6, 5-4). Adroit's second position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 7 matches. Liew is one of the most experienced players at Adroit and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Alpha McKevin of Chong Ghee (#3). McKevin scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). Despite McKevin's great performance the Chong Ghee lost 61-70 to #1 ranked Hornets. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Chong Ghee needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 7 victories and 2 lost games. McKevin has a great season in Singapore. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.8ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 12.6rpg (2nd best).
