Raj V's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Lavin Raj V

24-year old forward Lavin Raj V (201-F-2000) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Tong Whye and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat Tungsan (#11, 1-6) 84-71. Tong Whye is placed at 4th position in Singapore league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tong Whye will need more victories to improve their 6-3 record. Raj V has many years of experience at Tong Whye, through which he has constantly improved. Raj V has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 18.8ppg) and rebounds (4th best: 10.3rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Harihaaran Parathy of Tagawa. He is a in his second season at Tagawa. In the last game Parathy recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he led Tagawa to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Siglap (#12, 1-8) 94-60. Tagawa's 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Parathy is one of the most experienced players at Tagawa and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.2ppg (#5). He also registered 7.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Shengyu Lim (192-F/C-1990) of SG Basketball (#8). Lim scored 22 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). Despite Lim's great performance the SG Bball lost 63-70 to slightly lower-ranked Police (#10, 2-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of SG Bball not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Lim could try to bring SG Bball's a little bit higher in the standings. Lim has individually a great season in Singapore. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.3ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 9.8rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 2.0apg (7th best).
