Justen Chiam's triple-double lands him Player of the Week award

Talented Malaysian Guard Justen Chiam (177-G-2002) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Chong Ghee and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 21-year old guard recorded a triple-double of 21 points adding also seventeen rebounds and eleven assists, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Zebra (#12, 0-8) with 33-point margin 94-61. Chong Ghee is placed at 6th position in Singapore NBL. Chong Ghee is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. Chiam turned to be Chong Ghee's top player in his first season with the team. Chiam has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 15.6ppg) and averages solid 2.8spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international forward Delvin Goh (201-F-1995) of Siglap Basketball Club. Goh impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Siglap lost that game 71-80 to the lower-ranked SG Bball (#7, 3-3). Siglap managed to keep the same 4th spot in the standings. His team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Goh is a newcomer at Siglap and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.0ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 15.0rpg and 5.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was Harihaaran Parathy of Tagawa (#10). Parathy showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Tagawa, leading his team to a 73-53 easy win against slightly lower-ranked SAF (#11, 1-7). Tagawa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Parathy has a very solid season. In 7 games in Singapore he scored 10.6ppg.
