Ng number one in Singapore NBL for round 7 (by Hoops Agents)

International Forward Shi-Yu Ng (197-F-2000) put on an amazing game in the last round for Tagawa, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out SG Bball (#7, 3-3) 68-64. Tagawa maintains the 10th position in Singapore NBL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 5 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Ng had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Tagawa's top player in his first season with the team. Shi-Yu Ng has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.1ppg. Ng is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 11.1rpg) and assists (7th best: 3.6apg).

The second best player in last round's games was young international guard Benjamin Lim (184-G-1997) of Nanyang CSC. Lim had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 18 rebounds. Of course Nanyang cruised to a 61-53 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Xin Hua (#5, 4-4). Despite this victory Nanyang slide down in the standings to 8th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Lim is well-known at Nanyang and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.7ppg (#3). He also registered 13.4 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Jun Hao Mah of league's second-best SBPHK Hornets. Mah scored 14 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Hornets, leading his team to a 82-67 easy win against the lower-ranked Chong Ghee (#6, 4-4). Hornets is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 6-1 record is not that bad... Mah has a great season in Singapore. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.2rpg (8th best) and assists with 3.3apg (9th best).
