C.J. Gettys (ex Lleida) joins Jobstreet.com Singapore Slingers

C.J. Gettys

Jobstreetcom-Singapore-Slingers agreed terms with 28-year old American center C.J. Gettys (213cm-127kg-1994, college: Rutgers, agency: Haylett Sports). Gettys played last season at ICG Forca Lleida in Spanish LEB Gold. In four games he had 3.3ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.0apg. He ended the last season at Shinagawa City Basketball Club in Japanese B3 League where in 19 games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.2ppg, 12.2rpg, 5.9apg (top 3) and 1.3spg. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week (2 times). But the most of that year he spent at Toyoda in Japanese B3 League. In 22 games he averaged remarkable 21.3ppg, 13.5rpg, 5.4apg and 1.0bpg. Good season as he was also here named League Player of the Week (2 times).
Gettys has played previously professionally in United Kingdom (Cheshire Phoenix and Newcastle Eagles) and The Basketball Tournament (Playing for Jimmy).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his college team won British BBL Cup in 2018. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-British BBL Honorable Mention back in 2019.
Gettys graduated from Rutgers University in 2017 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.
