Siglap Black defeated Qian Xi Blue 50-34 on Wednesday. Siglap Black held Qian Xi Blue to an opponent 20.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 22.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Siglap Black forced 25 Qian Xi Blue turnovers. Amanda Lim scored 14 points to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Murphy Murad (165, college: S.Connecticut) chipped in 6 points and 4 assists during the contest. Kai-Ting See notched 16 points to lead the effort and Rachel Tan supported her with 13 points. Even 16 points and 9 rebounds by Jasmin Toh did not help to save the game for Siglap White. SG Basketball forced 24 Blazers turnovers and outrebounded them 66-33 including a 31-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Irish Tan notched 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and Shirley Liow supported her with 15 points and 10 rebounds. SG Basketball's coach used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds by Shervonne Lee did not help to save the game for Blazers.
