We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked Blazers (1-5) were defeated on the road by twelfth ranked SG Basketball (2-5) 82-69. SG Basketball dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Blazers' 28. SG Basketball forced 24 Blazers turnovers and outrebounded them 66-33 including a 31-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Irish Tan notched 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and Shirley Liow supported her with 15 points and 10 rebounds. SG Basketball's coach used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds by Shervonne Lee did not help to save the game for Blazers. Shu-Shan Yap added 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Blazers players scored in double figures. SG Basketball moved-up to eleventh place. Blazers at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost.
