Espinosa Haribon gets MVP of the Week award for Singapore NBL (by Hoops Agents)

Espinosa Haribon had an amazing evening in the last round for GBA Hoops and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The had a double-double of 18 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team beat Tagawa (#10, 0-6), the league's bottom-ranked team 56-48. GBA Hoops is placed at 8th position in Singapore NBL. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 5 games and had just one victory. In the team's last game Haribon had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be GBA Hoops' top player in his first season with the team. Haribon has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 9.2rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was YU Ng-Shi of SAF. Ng-Shi impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as SAF lost that game 66-74 to the higher-ranked SG Bball (#5, 3-3). This loss caused SAF to drop to 9th position in the standings. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory SAF managed to get this year. Ng-Shi is a newcomer at SAF and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.5ppg (#1). He also registered 7.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Malaysian Russell Low-Wen of second-ranked Hornets. Low-Wen scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Despite Low-Wen's great performance Hornets lost 54-56 to #4 ranked Siglap. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Hornets had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 1st lost game is hopefully really an accident. Low-Wen's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Low-Wen has a great season in Singapore. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.6ppg (7th best).
