Al Khor Faces Al Gharafa… Al Adaam Meets Al Shamal in Women’s Basketball League

The Women’s General Basketball League for the 2025–2026 sports season continues on Friday evening, February 13, 2026, with the second round of fixtures featuring two anticipated matchups.

The first game will see Al Khor take on Al Gharafa, while the second will pit Al Adaam against Al Shamal. Both matches will be played at Union Hall courts 1 and 2, starting at 8:00 p.m.

This round follows an exciting opening on Friday, February 6, which showcased a high level of competition among the four participating teams: Al Gharafa, Al Adaam, Al Shamal, and Al Khor.

In the first round, Al Gharafa edged Al Adaam by a single point, 62–61, in a marathon game decided in the final moments. Meanwhile, Al Shamal defeated Al Khor 85–71, positioning both teams as strong contenders for the title this season.

As the second round kicks off, Al Gharafa and Al Shamal aim to build on their records and secure more points, while Al Adaam and Al Khor seek redemption and their first victories of the campaign.

The league follows a three-round format, with each team facing the other three in every round. Points are awarded per match, and the champion will be the club with the highest total at the end of the season. A playoff may be held in case of a tie for the title.

Round three will take place on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, featuring Al Gharafa vs. Al Shamal and Al Khor vs. Al Adaam.

The second stage of the league begins on Friday, February 20, 2026, with Al Adaam meeting Al Gharafa and Al Khor facing Al Shamal, both matches scheduled for 9:00 p.m.

The second round of stage two follows on February 22, 2026, with Al Gharafa vs. Al Khor and Al Shamal vs. Al Adaam.

Stage two concludes on Sunday, March 1, 2026, with Al Shamal vs. Al Gharafa and Al Adaam vs. Al Khor. The schedule for stage three will be announced at a later date.
