Akkad Ankawa (1 League) inked experienced 35-year old American (has also Angolan passport) 172cm guard Italee Lucas (college: UNC) for upcoming season 2024 - 2025

She played most recently at Al Gharafa in Qatari D1 league. The last season she played at Ghaz Al-Shamal. She also played for GD Inter-Clube de Luanda in Angolan D1 where in three games she averaged 13.0ppg, 3.0rpg, 6.3apg and 1.0spg. The other team she played shortly was Qurain in Kuwaiti league.
In 2011 she was drafted by Tulsa Shock (WNBA) in second round (21st overall).
The former University of North Carolina star is in her 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball. Lucas has been regularly called to the Angolan Senior National Team since 2017.
She is a very experienced player. Lucas has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to seven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America). She has played previously professionally in Hungary (Miskolc), Israel (Hertzliya), Kuwait, Romania (Satu Mare), Spain (Hondarribia-Irun, IDK Euskotren and Girona) and Egypt (Al Ahly and Heliopolis). Lucas won Qatari League championship title in 2024.
