D1 Round 28: Top-ranked Al Wakrah wins another game

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

D1 top team - Al Wakrah (10-3) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Al Rayyan (1-11) 99-75. Al Wakrah dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Al Rayyan's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Julius Coles Jr (193-1989, college: Canisius) who helped to win the game recording 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 9 assists. The other American import swingman Brandon Spearman (191-1991, college: Hawaii) contributed with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Al Wakrah's coach Ihab Galal felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tony Townsend replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for Al Rayyan. Al Wakrah maintains first position with 10-3 record. Al Rayyan at the other side stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game in Al Khor supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Al Gharafa (8-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Al Khor (3-9). Al Gharafa smashed Al Khor 94-67. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Tyler Harris (208-1993, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 16 rebounds and Nedim Muslic who added 15 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Jeff Newberry (188-1992, college: OK State) responded with 32 points. Al Gharafa have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Al Khor lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Qatar Club. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
