Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Round 19 most important game was a victory of SM Beermen over 7th ranked Phoenix 116-104 on Saturday night. Beermen outrebounded Masters 52-39 including 44 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Bennie Boatwright (208-1996, college: USC) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Guamanian guard Jericho Cruz (182-1990) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American power forward James Dickey III (208-1996, college: UNCG, agency: JCK Sports Group) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for Masters. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SM Beermen have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion (7-5) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hotshots. Phoenix at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with TNT Tropang.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Bolts (8-4) against sixth ranked Hotshots (7-5) on Sunday night. Host Bolts were defeated by Hotshots in Manila 93-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bolts. It was a great evening for American power forward Clinton Chapman (208-1989, college: Texas, agency: Diamond Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Zavier Lucero helped adding 8 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American center Marvin Jones (213-1993, college: Texas Southern) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hotshots have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with SM Beermen. Meralco Bolts at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost.

In the last two games of round 19 FiberXers beat Blackwater on the road 136-122. Ginebra Kings won against TNT Tropang on its own court 93-86.
The most impressive performance of 19th round was 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 blocks by Bol Bol of TNT Tropang.



Blackwater - FiberXers 122-136

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked FiberXers (5-7) beat 12th ranked Bossing (2-10) in Caloocan City 136-122. FiberXers dominated down low during the game scoring 100 of its points in the paint compared to Bossing's 54 and made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. FiberXers forced 22 Blackwater turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Blackwater was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for naturalized Spanish guard Juan Gomez De Liano (184-1999) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. Justine Baltazar (208-1997) helped adding 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five FiberXers players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Robert Upshaw (213-1994, college: Washington) responded with 45 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds and the other American import guard Sedrick Barefield (188-1996, college: Utah) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. FiberXers maintains ninth place with 5-7 record. Blackwater lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with Titan UGR.

Meralco Bolts - Hotshots 76-93

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Bolts (8-4) against sixth ranked Hotshots (7-5) on Sunday night. Host Bolts were defeated by Hotshots in Manila 93-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bolts. Hotshots outrebounded Meralco Bolts 50-39 including 39 on the defensive glass. Hotshots brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Meralco Bolts were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American power forward Clinton Chapman (208-1989, college: Texas, agency: Diamond Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Zavier Lucero (198-1999, college: Cal Maritime) helped adding 8 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American center Marvin Jones (213-1993, college: Texas Southern) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Javee Mocon (193-1995) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Ginebra Kings - TNT Tropang 93-86

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Giga (6-6) lost to fourth ranked Kings (9-3) in Manila 86-93. Ginebra Kings outrebounded TNT Tropang 61-35 including a 44-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ginebra Kings players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for naturalized American forward Justin Brownlee (197-1988, college: St.John's) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Rhon Jhay Abarrientos (181-1999) helped adding 17 points. Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side South Sudanese-American center Bol Bol (218-1999, college: Oregon, agency: The Crew A.M.) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 blocks and point guard Jayson Castro William (180-1986) scored 9 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ginebra Kings moved-up to second place, which they share with Rain or Shine. TNT Tropang lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Phoenix.
