The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Beermen won third quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when TNT Tropang made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Calvin-John Oftana (195-1996) who scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Australian guard Jordan Heading (188-1996, college: CBU) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five TNT Tropang players scored in double figures.
