Roberson turned in a dominant double-double with 17 points and 19 rebounds, imposing his will in the paint and helping turn the tide with a huge third-quarter rally. Abando filled the stat sheet with 11 points, three assists, two steals, two blocks, and two rebounds, showing his two-way prowess as Strong Group’s most versatile weapon on the wing. While their win over Chinese Taipei was convincing in the end, Strong Group had to overcome early jitters, something they’ll hope to avoid against a feisty Japan U25 side that eked out a thrilling 86-84 win over Qatar B.
