Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Scottie Thompson (188-1993) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Johnny Abarrientos (173-1970) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was center June Mar Fajardo (210-1989) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and forward John Rodney Brondial (196-1990) added 12 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively. Five Kings and four Beermen players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

TNT Tropang dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Painters' 44 and made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Painters 42-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Painters were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for naturalized Australian guard Jordan Heading (188-1996, college: CBU) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 4 assists. Forward Glenn Khobuntin (193-1991) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five TNT Tropang players scored in double figures. Naturalized American swingman Caelan Tiongson (196-1992, college: Biola, CA) replied with 30 points and 6 rebounds and guard Andrei Caracut (178-1996) added 15 points in the effort for Painters. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
