Ricardo Ratliffe gets MVP of the Week award for Filipino PBA (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American-South Korean Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-1989) had a great game in the last round for Magnolia Hotshots and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 35-year old forward had a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Terrafirma Dyip (#13, 0-9), the league's bottom-ranked team 89-84. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Hotshots moved-up to the 11th position in Filipino PBA. Hotshots is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-6 record. In the team's last game Ratliffe had a remarkable 76.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hotshots' top player in his first season with the team. University of Missouri graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ratliffe is in league's top in points (7th best: 25.6ppg), rebounds (4th best: 15.7rpg) and averages solid 62.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Michael Watkins (206-F-1995) of NLEX Road Warriors. Watkins impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 38 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as Warriors lost that game 91-105 to the higher-ranked Meralco Bolts (#6, 5-3). This loss caused NLEX RW to drop to 9th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Watkins is a newcomer at NLEX RW and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.0ppg (#6). He also registered 23.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Mali Cheick Diallo (206-C/F-1996) of Converge FiberXers (#3). Diallo got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for fifteen rebounds . Despite Diallo's great performance the FiberXers lost 96-98 to the lower-ranked TNT Tropang (#7, 4-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing FiberXers needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Diallo has a great season in Philippines. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.4ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 15.1rpg (5th best). He also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 63.4%.
