M.Rehovot inks Demetrius Treadwell, ex Rain or Shine

Demetrius Treadwell

Maccabi Rehovot (National League) signed 32-year old American forward Demetrius Treadwell (201cm-107kg-1991, college: Akron) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Treadwell played last season at Rain or Shine in Filipino PBA league. In 8 games he had very impressive stats: 19.9ppg, 17.1rpg and 6.1apg. He was also named League Player of the Week.
The most of previous (2022-23) season he spent at Ramat Gan in Israeli National League where in 22 games he recorded 13.6ppg, 13.3rpg, 3.2apg and 1.3spg in that year. Treadwell helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. 2022-23 was a great year as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Israeli National League Finals MVP, named to All-Imports Team and also here League Player of the Week. He also played for Wonju DB in South Korean KBL. In four games he averaged 4.0ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.0apg in that year. The other team he played shortly was Hapoel Hevel Modi'in. He contributed to his team winning the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. 2022-23 was a great year as he was selected Eurobasket.com All-Israeli National League Finals MVP, named to All-Imports Team and also here League Player of the Week.
He is quite experienced player. Treadwell has played in seven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Argentina, France (JSF Nanterre), Lithuania (Prienu Maciunai-KKSC), Puerto Rico (Piratas), Israel (Hapoel Gilboa Galil, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Hapoel Ramat Gan Givataim, Hapoel Eilat and Afula), South Korea (Skygunners) and The Basketball Tournament (Mid-American U.).
Treadwell graduated from University of Akron in 2015 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.
