SM Beermen outrebounded NLEX RW 52-34 including a 42-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by NLEX RW helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for center June Mar Fajardo (210-1989) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 21 rebounds. Guard Jaymar Perez (188-1993) helped adding 30 points and 9 rebounds. Enoch Valdez responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated SM Beermen have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. NLEX RW lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Hotshots and TNT Tropang. SM Beermen are looking forward to face Blackwater (#10) in Caloocan City in the next round and are hoping to win another game. NLEX RW will play at home against Rain or Shine (#6) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.

Joshua Munzon accounted for 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Jeth Troy Rosario (201-1992) came up with 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists for Blackwater in the defeat. The best player for the winners was Chris Newsome who scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Ian Paul Sangalang produced 8 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Meralco Bolts moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Rain or Shine and Terrafirma Dyip. Hotshots at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with TNT Tropang and NLEX RW. Meralco Bolts will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hotshots will play against Terrafirma Dyip and hope to secure a win.
