Regular Season Round 11: SM Beermen - NLEX RW 120-103

The game between Top Four teams took place in Manila. Leader host SM Beermen (9-0) defeated 3rd placed NLEX RW (5-4) 120-103. SM Beermen made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. SM Beermen outrebounded NLEX RW 52-34 including a 42-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by NLEX RW helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for center June Mar Fajardo (210-1989) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 21 rebounds. Guard Jaymar Perez (188-1993) helped adding 30 points and 9 rebounds. Enoch Valdez responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and guard Matt Nieto (185-1997) scored 14 points and 7 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SM Beermen have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. NLEX RW lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Hotshots and TNT Tropang. SM Beermen are looking forward to face Blackwater (#10) in Caloocan City in the next round and are hoping to win another game. NLEX RW will play at home against Rain or Shine (#6) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
