What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game in Quezon was quite interesting. Third ranked FiberXers (7-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Phoenix (5-4). FiberXers managed to secure a 5-point victory 132-127 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Phoenix. They outrebounded Phoenix 61-48 including a 43-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. FiberXers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when FiberXers made 8 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Phoenix helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Quincy Miller-Scott (206-1992, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!), 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Jeron Alvin Teng (190-1994) contributed with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American power forward Kaleb Wesson (208-1999, college: Ohio St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 21 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for Phoenix. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. FiberXers have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Bay Area D. Phoenix at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. FiberXers is looking forward to face Rain or Shine (#7) in Manila in the next round where they are favorite. Phoenix will play at home against Hotshots and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Manila supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Bay Area D. (7-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Rain or Shine (4-5). Bay Area D. smashed Rain or Shine 120-87. American guard Myles Powell (188-1997, college: Seton Hall) had a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Chuanxing Liu chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Guard Antonio Asistio (178-1995) responded with 20 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bay Area D. keeps a position of league leader, which they share with FiberXers. Rain or Shine at the other side keeps the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with North Port. Bay Area D. will play against NLEX RW (#10) in Makati City in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
