Davante Cooper (ex Istogu) signs at Nizwa

Davante Cooper

Nizwa (D1) has signed 29-year-old American power forward Davante Cooper, who stands at 208cm. Cooper, who played college basketball at WSU and is represented by Elevate Sports Alliance, was set to join Istogu in the Kosovan Superliga. In the 5 games he played this season, he averaged 3.0 points per game and 5.4 rpg. Last season, he played for Sheki BK in the Azerbaijani league's Superleague.
He's a highly experienced player, having played professionally in eight different countries across three continents: Europe, Latin America, and North America. His pro career has taken him to Argentina (San Martin), Azerbaijan, Bosnia (Bratunac), Colombia (Condores), Malaysia, Uruguay, and Albania (Vllaznia).
He played in the final of the Albanian League in 2022.
He had previously attended one of the camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to professional basketball.
He graduated from Washington State University in 2019 and is now in his fifth season playing professional basketball. He also played for other colleges such as Tyler Junior College and Bradley University.
