D1 Round 5: As Seeb lose to Al Nizwa in the game between Top 4 teams

Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Very significant was Al Nizwa's (#1, 4-1) victory against 4th placed As Seeb (2-3) 67-54. Al Nizwa have a solid series of four victories in a row. Despite that victory Al Nizwa went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Ahli Sadab. As Seeb at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Al Nizwa is looking forward to face league's second-placed Ahli Sadab in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. As Seeb will play against the league's leader Bawshar and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Bottom-ranked Quriyat (0-5) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to third ranked Ahli Sadab (4-1) 67-40. Ahli Sadab moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Nizwa. Quriyat at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Ahli Sadab will play against Al Nizwa (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Quriyat will play against Salalah (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 5 Salalah was destroyed by Zoufar on the opponent's court 75-50.

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Salalah (1-4) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Zoufar (2-4) 75-50. Zoufar maintains fifth place with 2-4 record. Salalah at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Zoufar will play against bottom-ranked Quriyat (#7) in the next round. Salalah will play against Quriyat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
