George A. Williams II

Bawshar (D1) strengthened their roster with the addition of 30-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) shooting guard George Williams (198cm-95kg-90, college: WBU) for season 2021. He played most recently at CD Puerto Varas in Chilean Liga Nacional. In 6 games he recorded very impressive stats: 27.7ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.0apg, and 1.0spg previous season. Williams also played for Ferro in Argentinian La Liga where in three games he averaged 6.3ppg and 1.7rpg. He also spent pre-season at Al Kahraba (Superleague) in the Iraqi league.

He is a very experienced player. Thanks to Williams' pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Asia, Latin America, Africa, and of course North America) in eight different countries. Williams has played previously professionally in Belize (Tigersharks), Canada (Power and Highlanders), Mexico (Pioneros Los Mochis and Libertadores), United Kingdom, Bolivia (La Salle Tarija and Amistad), Egypt (Al Geish), UBA (Houston Havok) and PBL (Lynchburg T.).

Williams' team won Belizean NEBL Regular Season in 2017.

Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him to get the job in pro basketball.

He attended Wayland Baptist University until 2012 and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball.
