Al-Ahli (Premier League) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old Serbian ex-international center Mile Ilic (215-104kg-84). He is a dual citizen owning also Bosnia and Herzegovina passport. played this summer at As Seeb in Omani D1 league. In four Asia Champions Cup games he had very impressive stats: 21.5ppg, 11.8rpg, 5.5apg, 1.0spg and 1.5bpg. The last season Ilic played at Al-Ittihad where in 23 Premier League games he recorded also remarkable stats: 24.1ppg, 18.5rpg, 3.7apg and 1.9bpg. Quite impressive season as he was selected Asia-Basket.com All-Bahrain League Center of the Year, named to 1st Team and named to All-Imports Team.
In 2005 he was drafted by New Jersey Nets (NBA) in second round (43rd overall).
Ilic's team made it to the Bahrain Cup final in 2017. He was a member of Serbian Senior National Team back in 2012.
Ilic is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in ten different countries. Ilic tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in France (Monaco), Georgia (MIA), Iran (Mahram), Italy, Lebanon (Tadamon and Al Moutahed), Lithuania (Lietkabelis), Russia (Lokomotiv), Spain (Real Betis and RETAbet Bilbao Basket), Serbia (Metalac, KK Vojvodina Novi Sad II and Crvena Zvezda) and Bahrain (Nuwaidrat).
