Barva lands Justin Dobbins, ex As Seeb

Justin Dobbins

Defending champion Ferreteria Brenes Barva (LBS) landed 30-year old American center Justin Dobbins (203-87kg-87, college: E.Michigan). He moved there from As Seeb in Omani D1 league where he played this season. The last summer Dobbins played at 25 de Agosto in Uruguayan Ascenso. In 14 games he averaged impressive 17.5ppg, 12.2rpg, 3.1apg and 2.1bpg.
Among other achievements he won Uruguay Metropolitan League championship title in 2014. Dobbins received also Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay Metropolitan League Player of the Year award and Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay Metropolitan League Import Player of the Year award back in 2014.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Dobbins experienced life in five different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Dobbins has played previously professionally in Argentina (La Union), Switzerland (Starwings), United Kingdom (Worcester Wolves), Venezuela (Gigantes) and Uruguay (Defensor, Goes and U Universitario).
He attended Eastern Michigan University until 2010 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
