KL Binapuri is the champion of Malaysia Women Basketball League 2016 defeating Megainn Selangor 68-56 in the Final game. They grabbed a 19-7 lead at the end of the first period and enjoyed an 11-point halftime advantage. Moreover KL Binapuri added a 23-21 rally in the third period and dd not mind a 16-17 loss in the last stanza. Fook Yee Yap (174-F-93) top-scored for the winners with 21 points and Chiau Ting (180-C-92) netted 17. Poh Yee Ooi (175-F-93) answered with 24 points in the losing effort.

Johore triumph at MATRIX AGONG CUP beating Malacca 60:32. Johore started better and reached 15-5 lead at the end of the first period. Moreover They added massive 20-2 surge in the third quarter and closed the game with a 16-10 rally. Kalaimathi Rajintiran (185-C-90) top-scored for the winners with 14 points, while Siew Teng Ang (174-F-87) and Hui Pin Pang (176-F-90) had 12 each. CHIA QIAN TAI answered with 11 points in the losing effort.
