Gambrell Jr.'s double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

25-year old American point guard Jeremiah Gambrell Jr. (190-PG-2000, agency: 0z Sports Agency) had an amazing evening in the last round for Antranik Beirut and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had a double-double of 37 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat NSA (#10, 6-16) 104-94. Antranik is placed at 5th position in Lebanese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Antranik will need more victories to improve their 13-9 record. In the team's last game Gambrell Jr. had a remarkable eight three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Antranik's top player in his first season with the team. Alcorn State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Gambrell Jr. is in league's top in points (3rd best: 25.7ppg) and averages solid 60.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Marcus Georges-Hunt (196-F-1994) of top-ranked Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut. He is U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward in his first season at Al Riyadi. In the last game Georges-Hunt recorded an impressive 30 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Al Riyadi to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Beirut Club (#8, 9-12) 96-73. Of course Al Riyadi still keep the league's top spot. His team belongs to top of the standings with 20-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Georges-Hunt is a newcomer at Al Riyadi and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jordan Stevens (182-PG-1994) of Homentmen Beirut (#7). Stevens got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and eight assists. Despite Stevens' great performance the Homentmen lost 87-89 to the higher-ranked Sagesse (#2, 18-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Homentmen needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 11 victories and 10 lost games. Stevens has a great season in Lebanon. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.5ppg (4th best) and assists with 8.0apg (3rd best).
