Lebanese DLBL round 19 best performance: Kavell Bigby-Williams

British Center Kavell Bigby-Williams (211-C-1995) had a great game in the last round for Club Centrale Al Markaziyyah Jounieh, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Homentmen (#6, 10-9) 105-96. Al Markaziyyah maintains the 3rd position in Lebanese DLBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Al Markaziyyah will need more victories to improve their 12-7 record. In the team's last game Bigby-Williams had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Al Markaziyyah and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Kavell Bigby-Williams averages just after two games 27.0ppg and 12.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Youssef Khayat (206-F-2003) of league's second-best Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut. Khayat had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 18 rebounds. Of course he led Sagesse to another comfortable win 114-95 over the lower-ranked Maristes (#10, 5-14) being unquestionably team leader. Sagesse's second position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just three games this season, while they won 16 matches. Khayat is a newcomer at Sagesse, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard AJ English (192-G-1992) of Beirut Club (#8). English got into 30-points club by scoring 52 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . Despite English's great performance the Beirut Club lost 100-110 to the higher-ranked Sagesse (#2, 16-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Beirut Club ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 10 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, English could help Beirut Club to bring them higher in the standings. English has a great season in Lebanon. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.1ppg (3rd best).
