Antwaine Wiggins (ex Homentmen) signs at Al Hurriyeh

Antwaine Wiggins

Al Hurriyeh Aleppo (SBL) signed Antwaine Wiggins, a 37-year-old American forward who stands at 203cm tall and played college basketball at Charleston. Wiggins most recently played for Homentmen in the Lebanese DLBL, where he recorded 6 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 assists in one game this season. Prior to that, he played for Al Wahda Abu Dhabi in the UAE league.
In 2016, four years after graduating, he was drafted by Raptors 905 (D-League) in the second round (43rd overall).
Wiggins graduated from College of Charleston in 2012 and is currently in his 14th season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player, and thanks to pro basketball, he experienced life in nine different countries playing on five different continents. Wiggins is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, African, and of course North American leagues. He has played professionally in Argentina (Platense), Brazil (Palmeiras), Greece (PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki, Lavrio, and Ifaistos), Iraq (Al Shurtah and Al Naft), Qatar (Al Ahli Sports Club Doha), Syria (Al Ittihad), Libya (Ahly Benghazi), and NBA G League (Raptors 905 Mississauga).
Among many awards, Wiggins' team won the Iraqi Cup in 2024. Wiggins was also voted the Asia-Basket.com All-Iraqi League Forward of the Year back in 2023. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Al Hurriyeh.
