Club Centrale Al Markaziyyah Jounieh (DLBL) strengthened their roster with the addition of 30-year-old British ex-international 211cm center Kavell Bigby-Williams (college: LSU). He started the season at Al Sharjah in the UAE ULB league. In 6 games, he recorded 13.2ppg, 12.8rpg, and 1.0bpg. Last season, he played at Al Ahly Cairo (Superleague) in the Egyptian league. He also played for Jilin Tigers (CBA) in the Chinese league. Another team he briefly played for was Titan Ultra Giant Risers (PBA) in the Filipino league.
Bigby-Williams was also a member of the British international program for some years. He played for the British Senior National Team between 2017 and 2022 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2015.
Bigby-Williams also represented the United Kingdom at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 3.2 points per game and had 1.6 rebounds per game.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career, he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and North America) in twelve different countries. Bigby-Williams has played professionally in Belgium (Antwerp Giants), China, Dominican Republic (Indios), France (Boulazac Basket), Italy (Cantu), Mexico (Astros), Philippines, Poland, Taiwan (Steelers), Venezuela (Heroes), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce, Noblesville Boom, and Erie BH), and Libya (Al Ahly Tripoli).
Among many awards, he won the Egyptian League championship title in 2025. He was also voted the Latinbasket.com All-Mexican CIBACOPA Center of the Year in 2024.
He graduated from Louisiana State University in 2019 and is currently in his seventh season in pro basketball. Bigby-Williams played for other colleges such as the University of Oregon and Gillette College.
