Khayat's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

22-year old forward Youssef Khayat (206-F-2003) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Antonine (#3, 10-6) 114-113. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Sagesse maintains the 2nd position in Lebanese league. They are still close to the very top. Sagesse would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 12-3 record. In the team's last game Khayat had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Sagesse's top player in his first season with the team. Youssef Khayat averages this season 19.4ppg, 8.5rpg and 4.1apg.

Second best performed player last round was Trazarien White (198-F) of Hoops Club. He is American forward in his first season at Hoops. In the last game White recorded an impressive 36 points and 8 rebounds. Of course he led Hoops to another comfortable win 97-82 over slightly lower-ranked Antranik (#7, 8-8) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Hoops to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 9-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. White is a newcomer at Hoops and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.8ppg (#9). He also registered 7.1 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Perrin Buford (198-F-1994, agency: Pensack Sports) of league's leader Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut. Buford showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Al Riyadi, leading his team to a 121-92 easy win against the lower-ranked Maristes (#9, 5-11). Al Riyadi have amazing season winning all 16 games without a single defeat. Buford turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Buford has a very solid season. In 16 games in Lebanon he scored 16.5ppg. He also has 6.9rpg, 6.0apg and a FGP of 59.5%.
