The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Azour (2-1) on the court of Beirut FC on Monday night. Visitors were edged by Beirut FC 78-77. It was a great evening for Dean Kahlajah who led her team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists. American Chyna Cornwell (190-2001, college: Rutgers) helped adding 13 points and 14 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Lele Grissett (188, college: S.Carolina) with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Azour's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Beirut FC is looking forward to face Antranik (#4) in Beirut in the next round. Azour will play at home against Homentmen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Damour (0-3) was defeated at home by NSA (1-2) with the biggest margin this round 77-65. It was a quality performance for Siritta Faraj who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds. Olesia Malashenko accounted for 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. American Sonia Smith (170, college: GMU) came up with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for Damour in the defeat. Damour's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. NSA will play against Al Riyadi in Beirut in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Damour will play against Bkennaya (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
