Best players of Lebanese DLBL round 8 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Maurice Kemp (203-PF-1991) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 34-year old power forward had a double-double of 27 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Antonine (#6, 4-4) 108-100. It allowed Al Riyadi to consolidate first place in the Lebanese DLBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and Al Riyadi still have not lost a single game, getting all 8 victories. Kemp turned to be Al Riyadi's top player in his first season with the team. Maurice Kemp averages this season 19.4ppg and 8.6rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Khalid Thomas (208-F-1999) of Homentmen Beirut. Thomas impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 33 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Homentmen lost that game 94-103 to slightly higher-ranked Al Markaziyyah (6-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Homentmen still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 6-2 record is not bad at all. Thomas is a newcomer at Homentmen and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Kedrian Johnson (190-1999) of Hoops Club (#7). Johnson showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Hoops, leading his team to a 89-79 win against Tadamon (#12, 0-8). The chances of Hoops not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Johnson could try to bring Hoops' a little bit higher in the standings. Johnson has a very solid season. In 8 games in Lebanon he scored 18.5ppg. He also has 4.4rpg, 5.3apg, 3.3spg and a FGP of 53.2%.
