Lebanese DLBL round 7 best performance: Maurice Kemp

American Power forward Maurice Kemp (203-PF-1991) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Al Markaziyyah (#4, 5-2) 85-74. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Al Riyadi to consolidate first place in the Lebanese DLBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Al Riyadi keeps a perfect 7-0 record. Kemp turned to be Al Riyadi's top player in his first season with the team. Maurice Kemp averages this season 18.3ppg and 7.6rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Javion Blake (191-G-1997) of CS Maristes. Blake had a very good evening with a triple-double of 29 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Of course he led Maristes to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Homentmen (#3, 6-1) 116-89. This victory allowed Maristes to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Blake is a newcomer at Maristes, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Maristes' star - American center Henry Sims (208-C-1990). Sims got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds and five assists. He was another key player of CS Maristes, helping his team with a 116-89 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Homentmen (#3, 6-1). Maristes needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 3 lost games. Sims has a great season in Lebanon. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.0rpg (#1 in league).
