Best players of Lebanese DLBL round 2 (by Hoops Agents)

American Makye Richards (188-G) put on an amazing game in the last round for Nadim Souaid Academy and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The guard had the game-high 24 points adding eight rebounds and six assists for NSA in his team's victory, helping them to beat Tadamon (#12, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 92-86. NSA is placed at 3rd position in Lebanese DLBL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and NSA won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Richards had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be NSA's top player in his first season with the team. Xavier University of Louisiana graduate has very impressive stats this year. Richards is in league's top in points (3rd best: 23.5ppg), assists (2nd best: 7.5apg) and averages solid 1.5bpg,80.0% FGP and 60.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international forward Youssef Khayat (206-F-2003) of Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut. Khayat impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Sagesse to another comfortable win outscoring Hoops (0-2) 97-74. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Khayat is a newcomer at Sagesse and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.5ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 10.5rpg and 5.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was international forward Hayk Gyokchyan (203-F-1990) of top-ranked Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut. Gyokchyan showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Al Riyadi, leading his team to a 105-73 easy win against Al Chabab (#9, 0-2). Al Riyadi has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Gyokchyan also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Gyokchyan has a very solid season. In 2 games in Lebanon he scored 16.5ppg.
