Al Markaziyyah recorded a loss in Jounieh on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by Antonine 89-79. The best player for the winners was American power forward Clinton Chapman (208-1989, college: Texas, agency: Diamond Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import Ricky Ledo (201-1992, college: Providence) chipped in 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Dominican forward Anyeuri Castillo (201-1997, college: USC Aiken) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks for the hosts.
The game in Batroun supposed to be also worth to mention about. Al Riyadi played at the court of Al Chabab. Al Riyadi smashed Al Chabab 105-73. American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Hayk Gyokchyan contributed with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Ramon Galloway (190-1991, college: La Salle) replied with 17 points for Al Chabab. Al Chabab's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beirut: Homentmen and Antranik. Antranik was defeated at home 62-71 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game was dominated by American players. Jordan Stevens scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners. Emmanuel Little responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
Rest of the games of round 2 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
winless Tadamon lost to undefeated NSA in a road game 86-92. Winless Hoops lost to undefeated Sagesse at home 74-97. Beirut Club won against Maristes on the opponent's court 87-80.
